Q. Advantages & Disadvantages of White-Plate
- Silver has characteristic of being tarnished. However, when it is white-plated, it prevents severe discoloration and becomes more resistant to scratches than non-plated ones.
- They lose the pure creamy hue of silver. - A sudden discoloration (being tarnished within 1-7 days affected by perspiration) cannot be prevented through white-plating.
We let you know that white-plate doesn’t last forever. The duration differs based on the thickness and method of white-plate and your habits. Hence, if kids suck or chew the jewelry frequently, the plating can be worn away more rapidly. - Be careful about scratches. - Washing out the perspiration with soap when taking a shower and drying would make the plating last longer. - If the parts where plating is taken off get tarnished, please make sure to remove the tarnish as tarnished silver can cause allergic reactions to sensitive skin. |
